The Grid Zoo is a site-specific public art project that reimagines New York City as a living, breathing urban wildlife sanctuary. Each neighborhood becomes a distinct “habitat,” with unique symbolic species reflecting its mood, pace, and voice.

These signs aim to interrupt daily routine with moments of reflection, humor, and recognition—turning New York into an open-air observation zone, where people are both viewers and participants in a city-sized safari.
